Come join us for our September meeting.
Ben will be discussing cross-cutting concerns briefly and then talk about one specific application block called the Policy Injection Application Block (PIAB). The PIAB allows developers to quickly implement many cross-cutting concerns. It also allows developers (and system administrators) to quickly change the rules followed by thing such as logging and exception handling without having to recompile and distribute code. Everything can be configured through a config file!
Ben will be doing a code heavy demonstration (C#) that will take an application with some logging and exception handling and turn it into an application that uses the PIAB to handle this for all parts of the code. He will also implement parameter validation (a form of code contracts).
There will be pizza provided by Improving Enterprises.
